Personal posts

Jesus Christ, I can’t believe it’s been 20 days since I last wrote on here. So much for keeping my posts to a weekly thing at the minimum. In my defence, life has been… keeping me busy, what with balancing a social life, getting an internship that requires me to commute at least 4 hours a day and somehow earning money and still doing my coursework while all of that is going on.

Oh well. At least I get to listen to my music on the train. Sorry, this blog post is a bit shit. Usually I have something that I’m pissed off about and have no other option but to rant about it on here, but I’m trying something different where I don’t put my business out there on the Internet for everyone to see and instead, write it down in an app that I have called ‘Day One’.

It’s honestly the best journal app I’ve ever gotten because it’s on my phone, which is always with me, and whenever something does happen that annoys me to no end, instead of ranting to my friends about it, I can just put it in there so I’m not ruminating it in my head over and over and over. It’s a definite helper for my anxiety too, because I do have this tendency to overthink into oblivion and it’s so so interesting to me to see my thoughts written down where no one else has to see them. I dunno, it’s just cool, alright?

You also have the option to add photos and your location and if there’s a special post that you always want to remember, you can put a star on it and it comes up in its own little section of posts called ‘starred’ so it doesn’t get lost in all of the journaling. It’s amazing. I hope it hasn’t gotten more expensive. I mean, I did pay $8 for it, but considering all the other money I’ve spent on apps, it’s really already paid for itself.

If you are interested in this app I keep harping on about, you can unfortunately only get it for iPhones and iPads and iMacs and every other Apple device. It has not been extended to Android or Windows users, which is really a shame because it is so pretty and elegant to use. Anyway, here’s a link to the app store if you’re interested (don’t do what I did and accidentally almost bought it on the Mac App Store because it costs $35 on there and you will have a heart attack)

Anyway, hope you’re all well! Let me know how you guys keep your thoughts from being to overwhelming in the comments below, I’d love to hear more about the different ways you use.
